i think our sense of smell is seriously underrated. all we have in the english language to describe smells is a limited set of adjectives that either corresponds to taste, or simply range from bad to good. if we want to describe something more specific, gotta resort to alluding to objects. like... what does "lily-milk and snow" smell like? i imagine something refreshing... sweet... pleasant. but these adjectives hardly do the exact smell justice...
